 Terms and Conditions”
1. Payment Tuition should be paid before attending class. There is non-refundable. If you are not satisfied with the teacher, we can rearrange another one for you until you are satisfied.
2. Class Assigning once registered the student is expected to remain in the same class. (For exception to this see 8)
3. Course Changing Group lessons cannot be turned into private Lessons.
4. When you finish a level the school reserves the right to change your teacher.
5. Class Hours the first two hours of class include a ten minute tea break.
6. Another teacher may on occasion attend the class. This is in order to monitor the class and maintain a high standard. Another teacher may also listen to the class using a monitoring device.
7. Adding Students throughout the term we reserve the right to add students to a class. However, the class size will not exceed five students.
8. Student & Potential Students : If a student has some knowledge of Chinese they will be pre tested by a teacher and allowed to try a class. When doing so they must not interrupt the normal flow of the class. Once they decide on a group they should participate fully in that class.
9. Occasional Missed Class :
”ō Private class can be delayed. ”ōGroup class needs follow this rule:
--For an (optional) extra payment of RMB 150, made at the time of enrollment, a student who has missed a class, may request (24 hours required) a half hour catch up session before the next class.
--For beginner If there is a class of the same level the student may attend free of charge.
--Given prior notice a student who will be absent for several weeks may complete the balance of their entitled hours. They can do so in another class of approximately the same level.
--If there isn''''t a class of the same level the student will be able to attend one within a month.
10. Certification You cannot obtain a certificate if you:
a. Are absent for more than 18 hours. (In 60 hours)
b. Fail to complete assigned homework 10 times.
c. Do not attend the final examination.
d. Do not pass the final examination.
11. New Classes Usually from the 2ndTuesday and 3rdMonday of each month.
12. Teachers : The teacher may leave after 30 minutes if the students have not shown up. Beijing Mandarin School reserves the right to change the teacher in case of illness or other pressing reasons.
13. Holidays No classes are held during official Chinese public holidays. They will not be made up (except for the Spring Festival and Christmas).
14. Agreement I, the undersigned, confirm I have read, and do accept, the above terms and conditions. I have decided to register and pay for the course (see other side of this form).
